OREANDA-NEWS. On April 22nd in Togliatti it will be welded the first body LADA XRAY from the first pilot lot.

Start of industrial production is scheduled for December 15th. By the end of the year it should be produced 100 units of this model, including the pilot version. It was announced by the President of AvtoVAZ, Bo Andersson, on April 15th at the Convention of Russian Automobile Dealers (ROAD), which is taking place in Moscow.

According to Bo Andersson, the launch of LADA XRAY is easier than LADA Vesta, because it has less of the original parts. According to him among 1800 details of XRAY, about 1300 - from the model Renault Sandero and only 500 – are new, original. Talking about the price of the new model, the President of AvtoVAZ said that the basic version must meet the sum of 600 thousand Rubles.
