Team Sweden wins the 2015 KPMG International Case Competition (KICC)
OREANDA-NEWS. April 20, 2015. A team of four students from the University of Linkping has won the 2015 KPMG International Case Competition (KICC) final held this week in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The International Case Competition drew over 21,000 student applications from more than 550 universities across 28 countries. For the final, teams competed against each other over four days, developing solutions to realistic business scenarios and challenges.
This year, the event was in association with Emirates, one of the most dynamic and innovative airlines in the world, with the final competition taking place at the Emirates Aviation College in Dubai. Students from Team Sweden have each won an Emirates round trip ticket – to any of the 140+ destinations Emirates flies to worldwide.
This year, all the cases used in the competition focused on the airline industry. Each round of the competition built on the other as the competition progressed – challenging the students to continuously expand their thinking and learn from the feedback they were given.
In the final round the finalist teams, Team Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom, were tasked with presenting a series of innovative solutions to help Emirates Airline increase its long-term value. The teams presented to a panel of leaders from across KPMG’s global network as well as Brendan Noonan, Senior Vice President of Learning and Development at Emirates.
