OREANDA-NEWS. Total gas sales volume by Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. in fiscal 2014 (April 2014- March 2015) totaled about 15,332.355 million m3, up 5.6 % from fiscal 2013.

The residential sector amounted to 3,376.918 million m3, up 1.0% from fiscal 2013, because the number of customers increased.

Sales in the business sector (consisting of commercial, public, and medical use) amounted to 2,590.91 million m3, down 3.3% from fiscal 2013, due to lower average temperature compared to that in the first half and higher average temperature compared to that in the second half last year, leading to the decreased demand for air-conditioning.

In the industrial sector, the volume totaled about 7,053.081 million m3, up 13.1% from fiscal 2013, due to the increased demand for power generation.

Volume for wholesale supply to gas companies totaled about 2,311.446 million m3, up 2.5% from fiscal 2013, due to the increased demand of the other companies.
