OREANDA-NEWS. Total gas sales volume by Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. for the month of March 2015 came to about 1,449.573 million m3, down 2.0% from March 2014.

In the residential sector, volume totaled 412.511 million m3, down 1.8% from March 2014, due to higher average temperature* compared to that in the same period last year, leading to the decreased demand for water-heating and air-conditioning, although more metering days than those of last year.

In the business sector (consisting of commercial, public, and medical use), volume totaled 244.126 million m3, down 2.6% from March 2014, due to higher average temperature compared to that in the same period last year, leading to the decreased demand for water-heating and air-conditioning.

In the industrial sector, volume totaled 597.317 million m3, down 1.4% from March 2014, due to the lower operation rate of existing customers' facilities.

Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled 195.619 million m3, down 3.9% from March 2014, due to the decreased demand of the other companies.
