OREANDA-NEWS. April 17, 2015. At the International Support for Ukraine Conference due in Kiev at the NSC Olympiyskiy on April 28, our country will have a chance to announce those positive changes being held lately. The event is aimed at promoting closer communication with international partners, as not always information about positive steps made in Ukraine becomes known in the world. This was stressed by Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Aivaras Abromavicius during a briefing at the Government House on April 15.

According to the Minister, it is crucial to demonstrate the international community that the country has a single goal and a desire to move forward along the planned way to build a new country.

"The conference is intended to show the entire world and our western partners that the reforms in our country are underway and we have a clear plan on the future path of reforming the country. Primarily - stabilization of the economy and simultaneous implementation of vital reforms. We have to demonstrate that this process is irreversible and our western partners should come and see first-hand," stressed Aivaras Abromavicius.

The Government and our international partners will discuss further steps to reform the economy, energy, agricultural sector, in curbing corruption. The participants will have an opportunity to hold high level meetings: as there have been confirmed participation in the Conference by 4 Prime Ministers, with the total number of invited about 400 persons (not just country leaders, but also representatives of international financial institutions such as the EBRD, the World Bank, the IMF, etc.) Apart from that, the event will take place the day after Ukraine - EU Summit due to be held on 27 April in Kiev and it can significantly expand the circle of participants.

According to the Minister, delegations from partners were invited in "1+3" format: head of state or government + profile ministers so that the latter would be able to participate in certain panel discussions. The heads of delegations will have an opportunity to speak in the first - political part of the conference, while in the course of four topical round tables scheduled for the second part of day, the discussions will be raised along the following directions: rehabilitation of the regions affected by the conflict; business climate and investment opportunities; agricultural policy and reforms; energy, energy efficiency and reforms. The first part of the conference will be broadcast live, and round tables will be streamed on the Internet.

This Conference will become a significant event for Ukraine and its international friends. The next step will be an Investment conference, which is planned for autumn and aimed at presenting specific projects for investment in Ukraine.

To sum up, the Minister informed that a website resource had been launched http://supportforukraine.com with updated information about the conference.
