OREANDA-NEWS. Kaspersky Lab North America announced today it has been awarded Building Impact’s Gold Impact Award for 2014 for its commitment to strengthening local communities through volunteerism and giving. This is the third consecutive year Kaspersky Lab North America has won this award.

As a participating company in the 2014 Building Impact’s Connect Program, Kaspersky Lab was required to meet the following criteria to be eligible for the award:

  • Host three donation drives in the office
  • Host two in-office volunteer events
  • Volunteer for at least two nonprofit  events
  • Hold at least one corporate volunteer day in the community

Not only did Kaspersky Lab meet these criteria, but the Company exceeded the expectations as well, contributing to a variety of causes and initiatives both inside and outside of the office. In the office, employees created 100 Valentine’s Day cards for senior citizens, organized an in-office bake sale which raised over \$700 for the American Cancer Society and made meals possible for 850 people and families throughout Massachusetts through Community Servings.

Outside of the office, employees volunteered at Kaspersky Lab’s annual day at the Greater Boston Food Bank making 5,923 meals possible; sorting through 8,884 pounds of food, worked at the Stone Zoo to help clear an emergency access road to keep the park fully functional, and ran the Color Me Rad 5K race to benefit the Special Olympics.
