OREANDA-NEWS. AvtoVAZ got the net profit of 800 million Rubles in I quarter 2015, compared with a net loss of 2 900 million Rubles for the same period of the last year. AvtoVAZ’s revenue was 47 800 million Rubles, which is more by 5.2% compared to indicators for the I quarter of 2014. Operating loss was 81 million Rubles, or 700 rubles in recalculation on one car. In 2014 this figure was 1 500 million Rubles, which equals 11,400 Rubles for one car.

"Despite the difficult economic situation and a serious drop in the market, AvtoVAZ managed not only to compensate for the loss of the same period of the last year, but also to show a profit. It testifies the correctness of the chosen course, literacy development strategies and measures, used to optimize production processes”, - said the general director of the state corporation "Rostech", Mr.Chemezov after the meeting of the Board of Directors of AvtoVAZ. – “At the same time, the manufacturer has very ambitious goals to increase market share and to improve product quality. I am sure that in spite of the difficult economic situation, we are able to keep the pace of industrial growth”.

"Last year, we improve the quality and market share, which has helped us to improve the performance of the first quarter”, - said the president of AvtoVAZ, Bo Andersson. – “But even with these results, we cannot be satisfied: in a falling market, we need to reduce fixed costs and to decrease prices for purchased materials. Therefore, we continue to work on the program of cost reduction. It consists of 180 points, and it includes, inter alia, the restructuring of supplier base”.
