OREANDA-NEWS. Flint Hills Resources reported an upset at a light olefins unit yesterday at its Port Arthur, Texas, facility, according to a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

Flaring from the unit lasted throughout the day, resulting in emissions of ethylene, nitrogen oxide, and small amounts of benzene and toluene, according to the report. Operators stabilized the unit to stop the release.
