To help streamline its planning and execution of maintenance processes, IHI has been working with Oracle and leading IT solutions provider and platinum level member of the Oracle Partner Network (OPN), TIS, to implement the Oracle Complex Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul solution. IHI expects an improvement in its operations including a reduction in turnaround times for jet engine maintenance as well as improvements in its ability to meet growth targets for this line of business.

The company participates in collaborative international projects for aero-engines such as the V2500, CF34, GE90, GEnx, PW1100G-JM, and GE9X. With cutting-edge technology and knowledge acquired through its development process, IHI also provides maintenance services for V2500 and CF34 engines, delivering comprehensive support to its worldwide customers.

The deployment of Oracle Complex Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul provided IHI with the state-of-the-art MRO platform the group wanted for jet engine maintenance, as well as support for configuration management, maintenance process planning, and execution.

Oracle also recognized leading IT provider TIS with the 2014 Travel and Transportation Industry Excellence Award for its successful design, configuration, and deployment of Oracle Complex Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul at IHI. TIS worked closely with Oracle Development, Oracle Global Industry Solutions Group, and Oracle Consulting to implement the solution.
