Alba is Set to Grow with Line 6 Expansion Project
OREANDA-NEWS. Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) held recently a Management meeting review to give an update
on the status of Line 6 expansion project.
Alba has been actively focused on the expansion project lately. The construction phase is due to take place upon obtaining Board, Shareholders as well as other Regulatory approvals and it will be expected to wrap-up after 3 full years. Alba’s sixth production line is expected to add around 400,000 metric tonnes to its existing capacity bringing Alba’s total production capacity to 1.3 million tonnes per annum.
Commenting on Line 6 expansion project, Shaikh Daij Bin Salman Bin Daij Al Khalifa said: “We are optimistic about the future growth prospects from Alba’s sixth production Line. This new landmark will make Alba one of the largest single site smelters in the world and will be a major boost to Bahrain’s economy. We also take the opportunity to thank again the Government of Bahrain for their support towards Line 6 expansion project and their commitment to further develop the Aluminium industry in Bahrain.”
Upon receiving all approvals, Alba will expedite the execution of the sixth production line.
