OREANDA-NEWS. AvtoVAZ, which in March made the first body of crossover Lada XRAY, before the start of serial production of new items in the middle of December 2015 will produce about 100 pre-serial cars of the new model.

According to the official "Lada Club", two samples of Lada XRAY from the first pilot lot are planned to be assembled in April, then they will go to the tests. In May of 2015 for tests it will be produced nother 8 cars, and for the passage of approval procedures and validation of type of vehicles the compact crossovers will be assembled in June. For these purposes it will be produced up to 15 copies of the model. In July of 2015 the works on car production will be suspended, as AvtoVAZ will go into a single corporate vacation, writes the magazine "AvtoSreda."

It is scheduled for August the production of the first pilot prototype Lada RAY on serial technology, the pre-production lot of "SUV" should appear in November. Totally for three months (September, October and November) it will be assembled about a hundred of Lada XRAY. In a series the crossover will go on December 15th, 2015, and the car will reach dealers at the beginning of the next year. The estimated price of new car is from 500-600 thousand rubles.

According to "AvtoSreda", the created on the basis of Renault Sandero crossover Lada XRAY will be available with three petrol engines: AvtoVAZ’s unit 1.6 and 1.8 liter with a capacity of 106 HP and 123HP, respectively, as well as with the engine Renault H4MK with 1.6 liter and capacity 114 HP. For the model, there are two transmissions - "mechanics" of the French brand, and automated manual transmission of AvtoVAZ.

The following year, AvtoVAZ plans to launch into a series Lada XRAY Cross, which will be available with both front and all-wheel drive.
