OREANDA-NEWS. The company "Man Trucks & Bus Production Rus", which produces the German MAN trucks in Russia, due to lack of demand stopped the assembly of trucks at the plant in St. Petersburg from March to mid-May.

"From the beginning of March before the beginning of May we did not produce trucks. We moved the train schedule, and the staff passes trainings now”, - said a company spokesman, who is cited by the agency "Prime".

Later, a representative of MAN in Russia said that the production in St. Petersburg was stopped from March 1st to May 12th, "for economic reasons, lack of demand." According to him, during the trainings the staff of the plant received wages in full, and they receive 2/3 of salary for the days off in accordance with the law.

Recall the plant MAN in St. Petersburg was officially opened in July 2013. The company produces models MAN TGS and TGH. Russian-made MAN vehicles are available on the market of Russia and the countries of the Customs Union - Belarus and Kazakhstan.
