OREANDA-NEWS. The plan of UAZ is to launch a new crossover that will replace Patriot. It is about creating of a compact crossover with a monocoque body. Its platform will be partially standardized with a modular platform of cars that UAZ will assemble within the government project "Cortege". "UAZ" will borrow from “Cortege” cars about 30% of the components. It is planned two versions - with front-wheel and all-wheel drive. Concerning the terms of new items on the market, then it is called 2019.

"Crossover" UAZ" is to be already produced, but still it is for some reasons was not realized”, – the head of analytical department of "AUTOSTAT", Andrew Toptun informed "Gazeta.ru". - Three years ago, it was discussed actively the possibility of cooperation of UAZ with Korean brand SsangYong in creating of a new model. As for the current products of the brand, then now, given the large defense spending in Russia, UAZ can receive new orders from the state. But, again, the cars are to be upgraded seriously and, first of all - the engine”. 

Recall that UAZ dealer network in Russia at the end of 2014 included 126 centers.
