Nasdaq Simplifies U.S Market Connectivity
OREANDA-NEWS. April 10, 2015. Nasdaq currently offers clients the capability to easily connect to all markets and services that Nasdaq offers in the U.S. at both 1Gbps and 10Gbps bandwidth speeds. In addition to connecting to our primary data center in Carteret, NJ, clients can also connect to Nasdaq Points of Presence (POPs) in Secaucus, NJ (Equinix NY4) and soon in Chicago, IL (Equinix CH4).
In an effort to standardize these connectivity offerings and to enable clients to handle the larger bandwidth requirements of the various market data feeds, we are offering the following services at the listed fees, effective April 1, 20151:

*1G Ultra – Enables a client to connect to Nasdaq’s 10G network, utilizing a 1G connection. This service has been available since 2014 and is expected to replace the existing 1G connection option by the end of 2015.
There are no changes to the co-location connectivity services or fees at this time. Access to FICC markets (e.g., eSpeed, NFX) are included in these services, but also available as a separate discounted offering.
Update Your Connectivity!
Nasdaq is offering free installations through July 2015 for all new Direct Connect / POP requests in any of our data center locations. Through this incentive, customers will have an opportunity to update their connectivity location with minimal financial impact.
Online Access to Order and View Services
Clients can use the CoLo & Connectivity Console to request all of these connectivity services and view status of any new requests. This client portal can also be used by clients to view their current connection inventory and to request those connections to be updated or removed.
