OREANDA-NEWS. 138,000 cars - this figure was announced by the president of "AvtoVAZ", Bo Inge Andersson, for reporters during today's briefing at the company. And although the briefing was devoted to the last meeting with suppliers, questions of production plans to produce cars and work schedules of AvtoVAZ were in the first place. Simple arithmetic shows that major changes, such as reduced working week in the coming months, are not planned by the company: as in the first quarter of 2015 AvtoVAZ produced 134,000 cars, in the second quarter it plans to produce "on average 138,000 units”.

Bo Andersson found it necessary to explain to journalists that: "Today, I thanked the suppliers for the fact that they have helped us to produce 134,000 vehicles in the first quarter. And in this first quarter we have improved the quality by 20%. Today we had a constructive dialogue on the issues that were remained. The market is very complex, but LADA will use the situation its favor. In March, we achieved market share in Russia of 20.5%. We still have to work with our employees and suppliers on the production schedule. But the key elements are the following: the graph can be stable, without surprises ... ". However, later the president added that at the different production lines the situation may be different and they will look of the graph separately for each line.

Information that "AvtoVAZ" does not prepare new surprises, associated with the reduction of staff, was confirmed by another participant briefing - Sergei Chaban (Chief Federal Inspector in the Samara region of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District). "As a result of today's meeting, we can conclude that the plant is not in place, it moves forward”, - said Mr.Nikitin. - The percentage of localization of components increased directly at the plant and the plants that are supplying components. It all fits into the requirements of the Russian president. Localization gives stable jobs. It is important that this number of seats is not reduced, but increased. Once again, we heard from Bo Andersson, the plant has no plans to cut jobs ... I think that in the course of production development it is not excluded the possible increase of the number of jobs”.
