UNIQLO's London Global Flagship Store opened in November 2007, offering the largest UNIQLO sales floor space in the world at the time, in one of the most renowned shopping areas worldwide. The store has since led the UNIQLO brand's growth into one of the UK high streets most recognisable retailers, now boasting ten stores in the London area. For the planned refurbishment, the 311 Oxford Street store closed on Monday 9th March and will re-open in Fall/Winter 2015.
"We thank our customers for their support over the years, which has enabled us to refurbish and expand our London Global Flagship Store", said Berndt Hauptkorn, Fast Retailing Group Officer and UNIQLO Europe CEO. "We are excited to offer our customers a better retail experience, in a larger and more comfortable environment and we look forward to welcoming everyone to our new store later in the year. At the same time, we apologize for the inconvenience that the temporary closing of the store may cause", added Berndt Hauptkorn.
To make space for the new sales floors, UNIQLO has moved its UK Head Office to Number 1, Kingsway, London, from Monday 23rd March 2015.
Details regarding the re-opening date of the store will be announced in due course.
