Presidents of Ukraine and Poland discussed a wide range of issues at the meeting in Kyiv
OREANDA-NEWS. April 09, 2015. President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has held negotiations with President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski, who is on an official visit to Ukraine.
At the beginning of the meeting, President Poroshenko has noted that in the course of the visit of President Komorowski, a huge number of issues would be discussed. It is an evidence of intensive dialogue between the two countries. Particularly, the parties will discuss joint initiatives on the invitation of the international peacekeeping mission to Ukraine, prolongation of sanctions against Russia, usage of Polish experience in power decentralization, military and security issues, as well as the Eastern Partnership Summit in Riga.
In his turn, Bronislaw Komorowski has thanked Petro Poroshenko for the invitation to visit Ukraine and the opportunity to deliver a speech in Verkhovna Rada. He has reaffirmed friendly attitude of Polish nation to Ukraine and willingness to support our country in difficult times. According to the Polish President, friendship between our countries is based on common historic experience and common interests, inter alia, in the security sphere.
