OREANDA-NEWS. As a bid-winner VNIIR will manufacture two frequency converter regulation systems 10 kV 1600 kW for Novoportovsky oil and gas field, Gazprom Neft's key oil field.

Two frequency regulation systems with switchboard cubicles will be delivered to site. The equipment under automated control will make an integral part of a turnkey modular building.

VNIIR introduces necessary modifications in order to upgrade its products, thus enhancing their reliability, ease of maintenance, dependability and safety. There is a growing tendency to decrease use of import parts and replace them with custom-made similar products of national manufacturers.

Novoportovsky oil field is one of the largest fields of exploitable oil and gas condensates in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District. Recoverable C1 and C2 reserves are more than 250 million tons of oil and condensate, with over 320 billion cubic meters of gas (including the Paleozoic strata). It is located in the south-east of the peninsula in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, 250 km north of the town of Nadym and 30 km from the Gulf of Ob shore line.
