Three functional units of IDGC of Centre were recognized as the best for 2014 under estimates of Russian Grids
The results of the units’ operation were assessed in accordance with specially designed criteria.
The corporate governance system of IDGC of Centre aims to protect the rights of its shareholders, as well as compliance with the key principles of corporate governance. IDGC of Centre is one of the few companies in the distribution complex, which is rated at the level of corporate governance NCGR 7+ "Developed Corporate Governance Practice" (according to NP "RID"). Implementation of corporate governance measures and programs aimed at improving the investment attractiveness of the company, including having a delayed effect, also affected the assessment of the unit.
Evaluation of the results of economic efficiency of projects implemented in the field of automation and information systems, and telecommunication systems was carried out taking into account the assessment of the cost of their service. Benchmarking in each area revealed that the Department of corporate and technological automated control systems of IDGC of Centre includes all the core competencies needed to ensure effective development and maintenance of ICT systems. The presence of a single organizational centre allows the Department to have high standards of performance, inside of which there are staff successfully operating to ensure the development and maintenance of IT infrastructure, application systems and communication systems, technology systems, including commercial electricity metering systems.
During 2014 IDGC of Centre also successfully implemented important personnel projects, which provided the staffing unit to manage human resources of the company the title of the best. The level of provision of manpower is at a sustainable level and corresponds to 95.7%. Growth of labour productivity in 2014 increased compared to the previous period of more than 5%. These results were made possible by successful taking of measures to optimize the number of personnel, optimization of business processes to centralize a number of functions, automation of key business processes, as well as increasing the intensity of labour. Also, within the framework of preservation and development of human capacity of IDGC of Centre, the company identified 2014 as the year to strengthen the work with young people and involving them in the energy sector. The work was done not only to students of universities and colleges, but also with schoolchildren. In 2014 employees of the company developed and implemented in schools of the regions, where the company operates, lessons on energy safety and energy efficiency with the support of the Ministry of Energy of Russia.
