OREANDA-NEWS. St. Petersburg Hyundai plant in the first quarter of 2015 worked without interruptions of conveyor and it produced 51,300 vehicles, which is less by 12% than a year ago (58450 units). Therewith, the production of Hyundai Solaris was 28,800 vehicles (-14,4%), KIA Rio - 22,500 units (-9.7%), while in the period under review, the company started the production of the updated model KIA Rio.

As noted in the "Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus", despite the difficult situation in the Russian car market, the plant works stably 5 days a week in three shifts. The enterprise employs 2,200 employees. Daily St. Petersburg conveyor Hyundai produces about 900 cars, which are in great demand among Russian consumers.

Totally in 2015, the St. Petersburg plant Hyundai plans to produce about 228,000 vehicles, which is more by 14% than the production capacity of the plant. It is also worth noting that in 2016 the company will launch on the line the third model - the new subcompact crossover Hyundai.
