OREANDA-NEWS. AvtoVAZ at the end of 2015 in the current market situation expects to sell in Russia 325-350 thousand Lada cars, said the company president, Bo Andersson. Given that last year AvtoVAZ sold on the domestic market 387,307 vehicles, a drop may reach 10-16%. In addition, it is planned to supply for export from 70 to 100 thousand Lada cars.

The head of AvtoVAZ said that "everything can change", as the sales will depend on the market situation. "Our strategic goal - is 20% of market share across Russia. We know that consumers in Moscow and St. Petersburg are more demanding, and this share we can win only with a new product. Such a goal could be not achieved but it will motivate our employees and dealers”, - he said.

According to Bo Andersson, in January-March of 2015 AvtoVAZ sold 68,554 cars in Russia. In the first quarter of last year, the company sold 91,603 cars in Russia. Thus, this year the figure fell by 25.2%, says the agency "Interfax". According to Mr.Andersson, the share of AvtoVAZ in the Russian market at the same time increased - from 15.9% in I quarter of 2014 to 18,5-18,7% this year. The head of AvtoVAZ also said that "one quarter - is still not a trend”. "For us it is more important that we strengthen our position in the segment of cars that are costing up to 600 thousand rubles. By the end of February of 2015 this share was 48%, and the last year - 37%”, - he added.

For I quarter 2015 AvtoVAZ sold by the program of parc renovation (recycling and trade-in) 22,7 thousand cars, said Bo Andersson. "The recycling program is extremely important to us. Last week we were informed that we would receive compensation on a monthly basis, rather than quarterly as it was before. Then we will have support for leasing", - the agency "Prime" cited the head of AvtoVAZ. 

By speaking about possible outages at the company, Mr. Andersson said that AvtoVAZ analyzes weekly the situation with sales, but currently on some models, such as Lada Kalina Cross and Lada Largus Cross, we have to "work even overtime." He recalled that the company warns employees and suppliers for the two months prior to the introduction of inactivity.

Currently AvtoVAZ continues to work on the launch of new models of Lada Vesta and Lada X-RAY. The first model, according to Bo Andersson, based on the current exchange rate, will cost 500-550 thousand rubles, the second - 500-600 thousand rubles. "When we launched the production of Lada Vesta and Lada X-RAY, their localization will be about 65%, as we produce a lot of the joints ourselves," - he said.
