The new logo Lada, promising models and improved production of Lada cars was presented by AvtoVAZ at the international exhibition "World Car", which is held from April 1st to 5th in St Petersburg. Guests can explore the road and racing modifications of Lada Vesta, a hatchback Lada XRAY, as well as the cars of line "Cross": Lada Kalina Cross, Lada Largus Cross and Lada 4x4 Urban.

"We demonstrate at first Lada Vesta and Lada XRAY in St. Petersburg”, - said the president of AvtoVAZ, Bo Andersson. - These developments will help to increase the share of sales in the Northern capital and other major cities of Russia - it is our strategic goal. We offer motorists of St. Petersburg not only new cars of model range, but also improvements of our production vehicles. Over the past year we have been able to raise the quality by 50%. Upgrading technology and a new perception of the brand Lada - this is our response to the economic challenges”.

The new logo Lada and its philosophy were introduced by chief stylist of AvtoVAZ, Steve Mattin. For stylists AvtoVAZ it was very important to offer such an evolutionary approach, given that the car design language, of course, was a revolution for the brand Lada itself. The updated logo is now a volume with a clearly defined, structured shapes and dynamic lines, which were a continuation of the language formation of cars Vesta and XRAY”, - said Mr.Mattin. 

Today at AvtoVAZ and Izhevsk car there is active preparing of production Lada Vesta – the start of serial production of this model, developed by engineers of AvtoVAZ in collaboration with Renault-Nissan Alliance on a completely new platform Lada B, is scheduled for September 25th, 2015. The head of "IzhAvto", Michael Ryabov, said that all preparatory work is carried out in accordance with the schedule. It was produced several dozen of pilot samples Lada Vesta - it allows us to fine-tune the technology and carry out a full test cycle of cars. In parallel at AvtoVAZ there is the preparation for the production of hatchback Lada XRAY - Director of the project Oleg Grunenkov noted that a key priority is given to quality. The experts interact actively with suppliers: all comments to technology are eliminated in the early stages. By now it was started the debugging welding and body painting, the first pilot tests cars Lada XRAY will go to the tests soon. This compact high hatchback-style SUV with original design, developed by stylists of AvtoVAZ, was created in cooperation with Renault and AvtoVAZ on the platform B0. Production will begin at the end of 2015 at AvtoVAZ in Togliatti.
