OREANDA-NEWS. April 06, 2015. The Moscow City Government and RUSNANO signed a cooperation agreement for the development of innovation infrastructure at the Moscow Technopolis. The document was signed by the City Mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, and the Chairman of the Executive Board of RUSNANO Management Company, Anatoly Chubais, during the Third Open Innovations International Forum in Moscow.

The parties agreed on joint support for high-tech projects of RUSNANO located on the territory of the Technopolis, including projects to create import-substituting products and services. The agreement further calls for the development of infrastructure at the Technopolis in order to attract investments in high-tech industries, also aiming to disseminate good practice to other industrial facilities in the city.

The agreement reinforces the priority status of the Moscow Technopolis as a site for RUSNANO high-tech projects. The corporation will support the location of its projects at the Technopolis and help them to obtain resident status, which offers various benefits and incentives, including tax and customs incentives. Several RUSNANO projects are already Technopolis residents, including a number of portfolio companies—Crocus Nanoelectronics, Mapper Lithography and Prepreg-SKM—as well as the Nanotechnology Center for Composites.

The Moscow Government will contribute to implementation of the agreement by completing work on an additional 139,000 sqm production area, to be commissioned by March 31, 2016. The City Government will also provide ongoing updates to RUSNANO portfolio companies concerning forms of budget support, which the city provides to innovative businesses.
