OREANDA-NEWS. The study, conducted by the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", showed that the car parc of Moscow is growing twice slower than parcs of suburban town- satellites. According to the agency, for the last 7 years (2007-2014), the number of cars registered in Moscow grew by only 23.5% (from 3.11 million to 3.84 million units). At the same time the parcs of large suburban cities have increased by an average of 48%.

At the same time, there are "city-champions", the parcs of which are growing with faster pace. So, Domodedovo parc has more than doubled (by 114% from 19.1 thousand to 40.8 thousand units). Almost the same doubling of the parc was recorded in Balashikha (+ 98%), where there are already 73,600 cars. The parc of Chekhov increased (+ 96%) also almost twice for 7 years. The top-10 by the growth of the parc also includes Solnechnogorsk (79.7%), Schyolkovo (+ 76%), Krasnogorsk (+ 58%), Ivanteevka (+ 57%), Dolgoprudnyi (+ 55%), Orekhovo (+ 54%) and Pavlovsky Posad (+ 52%).

But the biggest parc among suburban cities is belonged to Khimki, where there are more than 80,000 cars, although the dynamics of the parc there is less than in many other cities in the Moscow region (+ 43%). According to the director of the agency "AUTOSTAT", Sergey Tselikov, the tendency of advanced growth of parcs outside Moscow will continue for many years to come, as the growing number of Muscovites prefers to live outside the city. In this case, there is the development of more and more new areas of near and distant suburbs.
