OREANDA-NEWS. April 03, 2015. Synectics plc (AIM: SNX), a leader in the design, delivery and management of integrated security and surveillance systems for the world's most demanding security environments, is pleased to provide further details of its contract at a major transport hub in the Far East, which was initially outlined in the Company's preliminary results announcement on 10 March 2015. Synectics' Synergy 3 command and control platform will be used at a new terminal at Jakarta International Airport.

Working in partnership with systems integrator Jaya Teknik, Synectics has secured a significant contract to supply an integrated airport security and safety management solution for Terminal 3 Ultimate at Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

Development of the new terminal, in conjunction with the revitalisation of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, is part of the Indonesian Government's plans to boost annual passenger numbers beyond 60 million people.

Synergy 3, which was officially launched in April 2014, is a flexible, open platform that enables alarms and events, security and process control sub-systems, video, and data to be monitored, recorded, and managed from a single unified operator interface.

Airport operator PT. Angkasa Pura II (Persero) will use Synergy 3 to monitor and manage more than 6,000 integrated safety and security edge devices from a range of sub-systems; including CCTV cameras, access control panels, fire alarm points, baggage x-ray scanners and intelligent video analytics.  The fully customisable user interface and user-driven dynamic workflows that ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) were key features for PT. Angkasa Pura II (Persero).

Linda Hadi, Vice Director at Jaya Teknik TICT Division, said: "Synectics was selected for this project because they were able to demonstrate extensive experience in designing and delivering mission critical solutions. It was essential we selected a partner who could provide a reliable, resilient and scalable solution that supported integration with multiple edge device sub systems. Another critical factor was the need to have access to dedicated local support, which Synectics provides through its regional office in Singapore."

Paul Webb, Chief Executive at Synectics, said "This is a significant contract for Synectics.  It reflects the strength of our proprietary technology offer and specific market appetite for our versatile, scalable and reliable command and control platform, Synergy 3. It also supports our global growth strategy and demonstrates both the importance and effectiveness of investing in our Singapore hub to service customer needs and meet global demand for integrated security solutions."
