OREANDA-NEWS. April 03, 2015. LULU Software, the creators of the award-winning Soda® PDF software, announce that they have signed an agreement to acquire Online PDF Services.

Online PDF Services is comprised of 10 domain names, including pdfmerge.com, which have allowed users to quickly and efficiently merge, rotate, compress, protect, convert, and split multiple documents online since 2008. The tools are free, but also offer a pay-per-use option for oversized files. Several of their services also support importing from popular virtual storage services like Dropbox and Google Drive.

The acquisition of Online PDF Services will complement that of Doc2PDF Limited, another source of online PDF tools that was acquired by LULU Software in June 2013, as well as its own Soda® PDF Online Services. With a projected combined audience of over 40 million visitors in 2015 and a wide range of Software as a Service web properties, this acquisition reinforces LULU Software as one of the top players in the PDF industry.

"The acquisition of Online PDF Services is an important milestone in the growth of LULU Software," said Eric Gareau, CEO of LULU Software. "We're lucky to be able to collaborate with such flourishing companies, and we are confident that these changes will help better serve the needs of both our existing and future customers."

"We're thrilled to be joining the Lulu Software family," said Lauri Lehtinen, founder and CEO of Online PDF Services. "The two companies share a commitment to delivering comprehensive, user-friendly online services for document management, and our combined forces will allow users everywhere to access an ever-growing array of PDF solutions." The two companies are currently working towards finalizing the details of the acquisition agreement, which should be confirmed in the upcoming weeks.
