OREANDA-NEWS. Discount duties for Russian natural gas exports to Ukraine have been extended from 1 April 2015 to 30 June 2015 inclusive.

Government Resolution No 1137 of 1 November 2014 on customs duty rates on natural gas delivered from the territory of the Russian Federation to the territory of Ukraine established a temporary special procedure for calculating the rates of export customs duties for the period of up to 31 March 2015 depending on the contractual price for the natural gas delivered from Russia to Ukraine.

The resolution stipulates that export duties shall be calculated using the following formula: a discount of \$100 per 1,000 cubic metres will apply at the price of \$333.30, and a discount of 30 percent at the price below \$333.30.

In accordance with Resolution No 295 signed on 31 March 2015, the discount rate for the export of natural gas from Russia to Ukraine has been extended form 1 April 2015 to 30 June 2015 inclusive.
