OREANDA-NEWS. From March 23 to 26, 2015, an African Development Bank Group delegation conducted a Business Opportunity Seminar in Copenhagen, Oslo and Helsinki entitled “Africa – The Rising Continent: Financing Business Opportunities”. The delegation was led by the Bank’s Executive Director representing Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and India, Heikki Tuunanen, and his Danish Advisor, Birthe Larsen.

The seminar was jointly organized by the Bank in collaboration with the Foreign Affairs Ministries of Denmark, Norway and Finland, the Danish Trade Council, Finpro, the Norwegian-African Business Association, and Innovation Norway. The goal of the seminar was to raise awareness of the Bank as an innovative financing institution and to highlight potential areas for increased partnership. 

The event was marked by presentations of AfDB’s Resource Mobilization and External Finance, Strategy and Operations in sectors such as Energy and Climate Change, Water and Sanitation, Infrastructure, Human Development and Procurement.  The event was coordinated by the Bank’s Resource Mobilization and External Finance Department.
