Specialists of IDGC of Centre in the field of energy efficiency and long-term development discussed topical issues at a meeting in Belgorod
For two days the participants developed a system of indicators of the company’s activity in the field of energy conservation and efficiency, assessed problems and constraints to productive development of this direction, identified priorities and specific groups of energy-efficient equipment and technologies for implementation in production, as well as ways to engage all stakeholders.
Opening the seminar, First Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre Alexander Pilyugin stressed: the grid complex today faces challenges that cannot be solved without a comprehensive structural transformation of the basic operation of the entire industry.
According to Deputy Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre for Development and Innovation Dmitry Rybnikov, efficiency today permeates all areas of the company, from financial and ending with logistical, which means that energy efficiency measures should be considered as the formation of the investment program, the program of innovative development, and R&D projects, but they must all be clearly technically and economically feasible.
Application of these or those scientific researches, aimed at improving the functioning of the company and the electric grid system as a whole, is provided by the Innovative Development Programs of IDGC of Centre for 2015-2019, ultimately aimed at increasing the reliability, quality and efficiency of electricity supply to consumers. The basic foundation of constructing electricity mains of a new technological order must be exactly modernization on the basis of innovative and energy efficient technologies.
Experts discussed a system of goals and indicators of the company in the field of energy efficiency at a roundtable. Questions of developing model requirements in the energy and operational efficiency to the equipment used in the construction and reconstruction of grids and the development of a monitoring system of energy efficient technologies on the market raised the most interesting and lively discussion of the participants. The participants considered the possibility of the most close cooperation with scientific and educational institutions for the development of advanced technologies and innovative solutions in the field of energy efficiency with a view to apply them to the electric grid of IDGC of Centre.
On the second day of the workshop the participants visited a number of facilities in the territory of the city of Belgorod and Belgorod region, on the example of which they met with the practical operation of R&D facilities and joint with the business community of the region solutions to energy efficiency in the construction of industrial and agricultural facilities. The guests visited enterprises of the industrial park "North", learned about the construction of a 10 kV overhead line using a pole-mounted transformer substation (a R&D facility of IDGC of Centre), met with the mechanism of grid connection of small generation of "Greenhouses of Belogoriya" and visited the Energy Efficiency Demonstration Centre of the branch of Belgorodenergo, which shows energy-saving equipment and technologies, recommended for use both at work and at home.
