OREANDA-NEWS. The President has held a broadened meeting on legislative provision of military and security spheres with participation of security officials, representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff and representatives of volunteer organizations.

The President has instructed to immediately elaborate and submit a series of legislative amendments related to military and security spheres for consideration by Verkhovna Rada.

Pursuant to the President's initiative, a draft law is being elaborated to significantly increase food provision of servicemen and make the procedure of public procurement more efficient and transparent.

The Head of State has also informed that he had signed the Law and the Decree on the holding of multinational trainings with participation of the AFU units in the territory of Ukraine and abroad in 2015 and on the access to the territory of Ukraine for the units of the armed forces of other states.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Oleksiy Filatov, Representative of the President in Verkhovna Rada Stepan Kubiv, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense Serhiy Pashynskyi.

Also, the President has held a separate working meeting on security and defense with security officials. The meeting has been dedicated to the analysis of the situation in the ATO area, the fulfillment of the Minsk agreements and the response to possible future developments.

The President has heard the report of Chief of the General Staff Viktor Muzhenko on the situation in the troops and the report of Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Valentyn Nalyvaichenko on the struggle against corruption and smuggling.

The meeting was also attended by NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov, Minister of Defense Stepan Poltorak and Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Andriy Taranov.
