Huawei Supports Netherlands in Building Digital Infrastructure
Ren Zhengfei said, "Huawei has established a series of Centers of Expertise (COEs) in the Netherlands, leveraging the nation's open and stable business environment. The next two to three decades are a crucial period, as traditional society transforms into an information-based society. Huawei will deploy its most advanced products and expertise around the world to propel the digitization process."
Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said, "Huawei has been active in our country for many years, where it continues to make a significant contribution to digitizing the Netherlands; for example, building 4G networks, providing intranets for local governments, and installing Wi-Fi in Amsterdam's football stadium. I am pleased that we can continue our excellent cooperation and strengthen it even further."
During Prime Minister Rutte's visit, Huawei hosted an Innovation Roundtable. The company also announced plans to establish a logistics center in Eindhoven, aiming to better serve European customers by combining the technology and logistics advantages of both sides.
Huawei has operated in the Netherlands since 2004. It currently has 650 employees there, of whom 78% are local hires.
