OREANDA-NEWS. March 27, 2015. Procter & Gamble's (NYSE:PG) Orgullosa program celebrated last night its newest initiative ‘Living Fabulosa’ (living fabulously) as a continuation of its Nueva Latina campaign, which highlights the unique and complex experience of the modern, bicultural Latina -- the Nueva Latina. ‘Living Fabulosa’ was successful in reigniting the passion to celebrate the beauty and diversity of Nueva Latinas through a forum recognizing Latina trendsetters and their stories of confidence, strength and success. The star-studded event was hosted by Golden Globe Winning Actress Gina Rodriguez, Radio Personality Angie Martinez, Style Expert and TV personality Lilliana Vazquez and Entertainment Weekly Correspondent Nina Terrero. Special guests and on-stage panelists included actresses Diane Guerrero and Selenis Leyva, Founder of Vixen Workout Janet Jones, musician Raquel Sof?a, and entrepreneurs and founders of My Wellness Solutions Indhira Santana, Violet Santana and Hilda Pichardo.

What It Means to Be Living Fabulosa

Orgullosa’s commitment to connecting with and celebrating Latina women is stronger today than ever before. The ‘Living Fabulosa’ program recognizes Nueva Latinas that shine of orgullo (pride) and confidence and are leading the way in creating change. From opening small businesses to being award-winning entertainers in Hollywood, Latinas are reshaping society and living ‘fabulosa’ in their own way.

“I’m so excited to be here tonight to showcase how Latinas are living fabulosa and highlight all the amazing things we’re doing as a community. Although there is no singular definition to describe the Latina experience, tonight’s group of modern Latinas were united by passion, orgullo and our stories of rich history, blended cultures and aspirations,” shared Gina Rodriguez, Golden Globe winning actress. “As Nueva Latinas, we are proud of where we come from and we are defining a new blended cultural life that is unique and inspiring.”

Celebrating Nueva Latinas

Orgullosa’s transformative power of community fueled last night's event at The TimesCenter in New York City with more than 200 trendsetters, influencers, and Orgullosa community members. They gathered to share the real-life stories and cultural themes that surround today's Nueva Latinas. The star-studded panel exemplified the undeniable bond that Latinas share as “Mujeres con La Falda Bien Puesta” (women who are determined, optimistic, achievers and proud of their accomplishments) and addressed topics such as being a bicultural Latina in the U.S., fitness, music, and family. To help Nueva Latinas look and feel their best, Orgullosa partnered with Crest 3D White, Clairol, COVERGIRL, Olay and Pantene to provide guests a “Chicas Night Out” beauty bar with complimentary styling consultations.

"Through Living Fabulosa, Orgullosa aims to continue capturing the voices and stories of what it means to be a Nueva Latina,” said Luis Restrepo, Brand Manager for Orgullosa. “We recognize the U.S. Latina experience is vast and broad, but the pride in having two cultures is a driving force behind the impact they are having in this country. That’s why we want to continue a national dialogue among bicultural women that encourages them to share their experiences and opinions while positively reinforcing how their unique journey allows them to live fabulosa in every facet of their lives.”

Along with the Living Fabulosa forum, Orgullosa activities include:
