OREANDA-NEWS. The volume of imports of passenger cars in January-February of 2015 was 48,547 units, which is less by 46.4% than the same period in 2014 (90,518 units). According to the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", it was imported cars Toyota in Russia in 2015 - 11 111 units, which is less only by 3.9% than in the same period of the last year.

In the second place by the import there is Hyundai - 7695 units, a decrease of 16.9%. The third place is occupied by Mitsubishi (4,636 units, -37.6%), and the fourth place – by Mercedes (4475 units, -27.4%). In addition, the top 10 brands in terms of imports included Lexus (2,628 units, + 146%), Land Rover (2579 units, -38,8%), Audi (2573 units, 24,3%), Volvo (1337 units, -45%), Daewoo (1267 units, -59.6%), Volkswagen closes the top-10 (886 units, -77.7%).

Top 10 models with the highest volume of imports is look as follows: Hyundai IX35, Toyota RAV4, Toyota Corolla, Mitsubishi ASX, Hyundai Santa Fe, Lexus NX, Toyota Highlander, Toyota Land Cruiser, Hyundai Elantra and Mitsubishi L200.

According to the director of the agency "AUTOSTAT", Sergey Tselikov, the top-ten of brands have 80% of imports of passenger cars. According to him, this year the imports could be reduced by more than 50%, and this is due to the increase in the dollar and the euro against the ruble and a corresponding rise in price of all cars. Recall that in 2014 it was imported 610,000 cars in Russia, which is less by 24% than in 2013 (800,000 units).
