Truck production in February fell by 37.2%

OREANDA-NEWS. According to Rosstat, the production of trucks in January and February was 10.9 million units, which is less by 32.6% than a year ago. Last month, the Russian assembly produced 8.3 thousand trucks – it is less by 37.2% than a year before.

It should be noted that due to the decline in demand for commercial vehicles in Russia Kaluga plant "Volvo East" in February stopped the production of Volvo Trucks and Renault for indefinite term.

Production of buses in Russia for the first two months of 2015 fell by 24.6% to 3.2 thousand units. In February, bus plants produced about 2.3 thousand vehicles – it is less by 23.2% than a year before.
