OREANDA-NEWS. ARMZ Uranium Holding was nominated for the All-Russian contest "Russian Business Leaders: Dynamics and Responsibility - 2014", held by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP). The company was among the awardees in the nomination "Contribution to the solution of social problems of the region", where it was honored for its support for social entrepreneurship. Another nominee in the same category was MTS OJSC.

The ceremony took place on March 18 at the conference "Partnership of business and government in the interest of social stability" in the framework of the VIII Russian Business Week.

Russian Business Week, organized annually by RSPP, is a major event, where important areas of interaction between government and business are discussed and proposed. This year’s main topics were development prospects of the social situation in the context of crisis, labor protection reform issues and inter-sectoral cooperation in the interests of regions.

As a part of risk management under optimization program, JSC PIMCU developed a project to promote self-employment and employment of disadvantaged population groups, including factory workers who received notice of dismissal in March-May 2014.

In the framework of the developed project, a competition "Start Your Business" was held in the city of Krasnokamensk in June 2014 under the slogan "For own good and for the benefit of the city". Krasnokamensk residents received an opportunity to submit an application to the city administration to implement projects aimed at improving the quality of life and social climate in the city.

In addition to the contest promoting business activity, the city hosted "Social Ideas Fair", which presented successfully running social projects. Residents of the city, who had an idea to start their own business, attended express courses, webinars, workshops and dialogue venues. According to the results of the competition, eighteen projects received support in the form of grants.

In 2015, ARMZ plans to continue implementation of the set of measures aimed at development of self-employment in Krasnokamensk.
