OREANDA-NEWS. According to Rosstat, in the first two months of 2015 the Russian assembly lines produced 215,000 cars – it is less by 20.6% than a year before. Meanwhile, the last month it was produced about 129.9 thousand cars, which is less by 17% than a year ago.

It is worth noting that AvtoVAZ began the production off-road version of estate car Lada Largus Cross in February, and on the Izhevsk car plant it was started the assembly of liftback Lada Granta with an automated manual transmission.

With regard to production of foreign cars, the company "Avtotor" started the production of an updated compact van KIA Venga, and St. Petersburg plant "GM Auto" launched assembly of premium SUV Cadillac Escalade of new generation. Meanwhile, in response to falling demand in the Russian market in February there were stopped the conveyors of companies "Renault Russia" and "PSMA Rus".
