Business Program of the VII International Forum ATOMEXPO 2015 is Approved
OREANDA-NEWS. CEO of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom Sergey Kirienko has approved the business program of the VII International Forum ATOMEXPO 2015 which will be held in Moscow, in Gostiny Dvor, on June 1–3, 2015.
The main event of the Forum will be the Plenary meeting on the following topic: Nuclear power engineering is the impulse of the social and economic development. Guests from many countries, the congress participants, will discuss the advantages of nuclear power engineering, its influence on social and economic development of the country and probable issues occurring in case of refusal to make use of it.
The role of the Plenary meeting Moderator will be played by Agneta Rizing, the Director General of the World Nuclear Association (WNA). It is expected that the following persons will take part in the meeting: Sergey Kirienko, CEO of ROSATOM, Mr. Filipp Knokhe, Executive Director of Areva; Tim Yeo, the chairman of the Energy and Climate Change Committee at the lower Chamber of the Great Britain Parliament; Khaled Toukan, the chairman of the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission; Vu Huy Hoang, the Vietnamese Minister of industry and trade; Tina Joemat Pettersson, the RSA Minister of Energy; Taner Yildiz, the Minister of energy and natural resources of Turkey; Takuya Khattori, the President of Japan Atomic Industrial Forum; William Magwood, Director General of Nuclear Energy Agency of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and development.
Within the Forum business program the special attention is paid to international cooperation between the Russian Federation and countries of Latin America, Asia-Pacific Region, Africa, Central and East Europe in the field on nuclear energy, discussion of the Russian proposals on development of the national energy programs. As well, special sitting “Atomic energy in BRICS countries” will be devoted to these issues.
Within the Forum framework, the following theme-based round tables are planned to be held: Role of NFC (nuclear fuel cycle) at the current stage of nuclear power industry development; Economic effectiveness, security safeguards at implementation of referential decisions at the final stage of lifecycle of the nuclear energy objects; Global nuclear engineering. Opportunities for global and local partnerships; Power engineering industry, cooperation at the worldwide market; Integrated solution on personnel training and nuclear infrastructure development for national nuclear programs; NPP operation and maintenance – up-to-date approach; New products of nuclear engineering industry: prospective trends and projects. Funding of SC Rosatom projects, optimal format and requirements.
At the site of the VII International Forum ATOMEXPO 2015 there will be organized a special exhibition of both leading Russian and foreign enterprises in nuclear and related industries.
3544 representatives of 600 organizations took part in the business program of ATOMEXPO 2014 Forum, including 283 foreign companies from 42 countries.
