GE Appoints Five New Company Officers
OREANDA-NEWS. GE announced today the appointment of five new Company officers. Effective April 1, GE will have 194 officers globally who lead large revenue-generating businesses or are in critical technology or functional roles, helping to drive growth.
Ron Pollett, 45, has been appointed vice president GE, president & CEO for GE Russia/CIS. Pollett joined GE in 1991 and has held a series of leadership roles in GE Appliances, Lighting and most recently the Global Growth Organization. He has been president & CEO of GE Russia/CIS since 2008 and before that was the national executive for Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. Pollett has been the Chairman of the Board of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia since 2007 and also serves as a member of the board of the US-Russia Business Council. Pollett is also a member of the board of JSC INTER RAO UES, the publicly–traded main Russian utility. Pollett holds a bachelor’s degree in Russian studies from Colgate University in Hamilton, NY. Richard Santulli, 70, has been appointed vice president of GE and chairman of Milestone Aviation Group – GE Capital Aviation Financial Services. Santulli joined GE in 2015 when GE acquired Milestone Aviation Group. Prior to Milestone, he served as chairman and CEO of NetJets, where he created the first private jet fractional ownership program. Santulli also served as chairman and CEO of RTS Helicopter and president of Goldman Sachs Leasing. Santulli holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Mathematics from Polytechnic University of New York. Todd Smith, 39, has been appointed vice president, chief financial officer – International for GE Capital. Smith joined GE in 1997 and has held a series of finance leadership roles for GE Capital, GE Healthcare and GE Corporate. Most recently, he served as senior executive and chief financial officer for GE Capital – International. Smith holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and management from the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL and is a graduate of GE’s Financial Management Program and Corporate Audit Staff. Yang Dan, 46, has been appointed vice president, Business Operations for GE Power & Water in China. Dan joined GE in 1994 and has held a series of leadership roles in GE Power & Water. Most recently, she served as senior executive, Power Generation Products and Services Business Operations for GE Power & Water in China. Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in Thermal Power Engineering from Harbin Engineering University in China and a master’s degree in business administration from Webster University, St. Louis, MO. Maria Claudia Borras, 46, has been appointed vice president, chief commercial officer for GE Oil & Gas. Borras joined GE in January 2015 from Baker Hughes where she was most recently president for the Latin America Region. She has a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from Universidad de America and started her career in 1992 with Esso in Bogot?, Colombia as a production engineer. Prior to her current role, Maria Claudia held a number of senior executive roles at Baker Hughes including president for the Europe Region, based in London and vice president, Global Marketing.
