OREANDA-NEWS. Total gas sales volume by Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. for the month of February 2015 came to about 1,517.029 million m3, up 3.5% to that in February 2014.

In the residential sector, volume totaled 451.308 million m3, down 1.4% from February 2014, due to the less metering days and the higher average temperature leading to the decreased demand for water-heating and air-conditioning.

In the business sector (consisting of commercial, public, and medical use), volume totaled 256.838 million m3, down 2.3% from February 2014, due to the higher average temperature leading to the decreased demand for water-heating and air-conditioning.

In the industrial sector, volume totaled 599.393 million m3, up 13.2% from February 2014, due to the increased demand for power generation.

Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled 209.489 million m3, down 3.0% from February 2014, due to the decreased demand of the other companies.
