OREANDA-NEWS. Nissan is considering the possibility of supplies to the Russian market of Nissan Murano crossover of new generation. The automaker also plans to establish the assembly of model at a plant in St. Petersburg, where it is currently produced also the previous generation of Murano.

"It is considered the opportunity to bring new Murano to Russia", - the head of Nissan in Russia, Philip Sayar, informed the agency "Tass". He explained that if this decision is made, the assembly of the new Murano will start at the Nissan plant in St. Petersburg. The possible start of sales of the new model and its launch into production was not revealed by the head of the Russian office of Nissan. At present, the St. Petersburg plant produces Nissan models Teana, X-Trail, Murano and Pathfinder; in 2015 it plans to begin the production of the crossover Qashqai.

Meanwhile, today, Nissan has to announce the start of sales of the new hatchback Tiida, the production of which was launched in January at the Izhevsk car plant. As explained Mr.Sayar, in Europe this model is presented under the name Pulsar. According to him, all the technical content of Nissan Tiida – electronics, suspension – is made exclusively for Russia, according to the principle sedan Almera, which is designed for Russian conditions.

In addition, the head of Nissan in Russia said that the company has no plans to raise more the prices of cars in the Russian market. "At the moment, we have no plans to raise prices. We have raised them by 19% starting from November of 2014 currently, while the average "temperature" of the market was 15% - before they were raised by Lada. Now this figure is somewhat higher. Of course, we look at the state of the market and on the exchange rate, but at the moment plans we don’t have plans for the subsequent price increases, "- said Mr.Sayar. Recall, Nissan in December of 2014 raised prices twice for some models of its line that are sold in Russia. Since December 17th (the second increase), as it was announced, prices grew from 3 to 5%. Thus, the model Almera has become more expensive by 3%; Juke, Qashqai, Patrol and the GT-R - by 5%, Terrano - by 3.5%. In this case, the model Almera, Juke, Qashqai and Terrano became more expensive on December 8th from 2% to 3%.
