DTEK's production indicators for 2014
“2014 was extremely difficult for the energy industry of Ukraine. The key question we and other players are concerned about: what will happen to our market tomorrow? - said Maxim Timchenko, CEO of DTEK, commenting on the company performance in 2014. - Due to lack of a consistent approach in the current state regulation of the industry the company has to operate under the conditions of total market uncertainty. The Company is making every effort to stabilize the operation of the United Energy System of Ukraine. In 2014, DTEK’s miners and power industry workers did everything possible to increase the production of gaseous coal and raise the load of power plants. The Company imported over 1.5 mln tonne of anthracite. We minimized the capacity deficit in the energy system caused by the war. Ensuring that people have electricity has always been and remains our priority. I do hope that the industry managers also see it as the most important task, which means that prior to the new heating season we will have a dialogue based on transparent market principles of cooperation.”
