OREANDA-NEWS. AvtoVAZ sold 23,639 vehicles in Russia by the results of February (-23%), by occupying 19.3% of the Russian car market. Thus, Lada is approaching to the target share of 20%, noted at AvtoVAZ. It proves that, despite an overall drop in demand, position of Lada brand cars is reinforced: February sales of AvtoVAZ are more than in January by 35.1%.

Best-selling model in Russia in February became again Lada Granta with the index of 10583 cars (-6.2%). Leader in the SUV segment is still Lada 4x4 - this model was chosen by 3779 customers (+20%). And the leadership of estate car market is kept by Lada Largus, which was sold in the amount of 3443 units (-28.2%). Sales of the Lada Priora were 2740 cars (-33%), Lada Kalina - 2,658 units (-57%).

According to AvtoVAZ, by aiming to support the demand for Lada cars, the company continues to conclude new products. Thus, in February it was launched the assembly of liftback Lada Granta with automated manual transmission, and in April-May this new gearbox will be received by Lada Kalina.

There are marketing campaigns - in March the purchase of Lada can be cheaper by 100 thousand rubles. Firstly, when buying Lada on credit the customer gets a discount of 50 thousand rubles. Second, another 50 thousand rubles can be saved if the purchase will be made by the end of March by the recycling program. Trade-in will give a discount of 40 thousand rubles.
