OREANDA-NEWS. A subsidiary holding company OJSC “UAT” is engaged in the transportation of construction equipment from the site of the airfield in Chkalovsk (Kaliningrad region) to the Engels airfield in Saratov region.

The transportation is due to the fact that construction works of the first phase in Chkalovsk are coming to an end, while Engels began a new phase of large-scale works.

In total about 30 pieces of equipment (trucks, earthmoving machinery) and means of small-scale mechanization will be transported. At the site of OJSC “UAT” all the equipment will be held for scheduled maintenance.

Two concrete plants, producing concrete for the construction and reconstruction of the airfield, will be as well relocated. Productive capacity of each plant is 120 cubic meters per hour.

Meanwhile at the airfield of Engels the first phase of works is completed. For now the experts of the company will have to carry out reconstruction of the existing airfield and build new parkings. The works are already underway and will be phased in during the year.

With regard to the airfield in Chkalovsk, all first stage works are being finished here. After their completion OJSC “UAT” will take part in the tendering procedures for further participation in the airfield reconstruction project.
