OREANDA-NEWS. Belorusneft experts are studying the prospects for working at Indonesian oil fields.

They are studying implementation of EOR methods developed in Belarus, at Lirik Sago field which will be a pilot project area.

The parties have reached preliminary agreements on cooperation have been reached when the delegation from Indonesian State Oil and Gas Company Pertamina visited Belorusneft.

During negotiations with Belorusneft and BelNIPIneft management, Pertamina's representatives provided preliminary data on one of their assets. The parties also signed the non-disclosure and joint study agreements.

After a more specific field data is received, Belarusian and Indonesian experts will do a joint research and assess the possibility of EOR project implementation on the selected field. In case the feasibility study results prove to be positive, the project will be put in production. Otherwise, the experts will try to find another asset to demonstrate the capabilities of advanced Belarusian technologies.
