Shvabe Developed New Thermal-Imaging Module
OREANDA-NEWS. Shvabe Holding started mass production of a new improved thermal imaging module.
"The new thermal imaging module is more compact and lightweight compared to the earlier versions. The module is fitted with an upgraded photodetector based on photosensitive semiconductor matrices, which operates in tandem with high-quality optics and produces more detailed images. In addition, the module employs process solutions to reduce power consumption, which results in much longer and more efficient operation of the thermal imager in low temperatures and bad weather conditions," said Nikolay Rakovich, Shvabe Deputy CEO for R&D and innovative development.
This multipurpose device may be used in various small-sized thermal imagers. A black-and-white thermal image is displayed in the video standard on the imager screen. The user may use different processing and correction functions in the menu to get a better image quality.
The new product has been designed by JSC "Shvabe Instruments", a Holding enterprise, and is incorporated into thermal imagers manufactured by JSC "Shvabe - Defense and Security" (monoculars and sights). Its spectral response ranges from 8 to 14 µm and its image frequency is 50 Hz. The range of coverage depends on the optics but is no less than 1,500 meters.
