Ohio Business Wins ‘City Express to Success’ Challenge
French Creek Medical, which delivers physical therapy and chiropractic supplies to the Greater Cleveland area, will soon receive the newest addition to the Chevrolet Express family of vans to help make its day-to-day operations more efficient.
“We’ve longed for a ‘right-sized’ vehicle that will help us deliver our products to our customers, while also serving as a promotional tool for our business,” said Tom Wible, owner, French Creek Medical. “The City Express fits in that spot between not enough room and too much, and it will allow us to tell Cleveland who we are.”
A panel of judges reviewed thousands of videos and essays submitted by small business owners all over the country to decide the grand prize winner, and four finalists to each receive a \$1,000 gas card.
Entrants were asked to demonstrate how owning the Chevrolet City Express would help boost their brand, enhance their productivity and accelerate business growth.
“The best way to show our customers how our vehicles can benefit them and contribute to their profitability, is to get them behind the wheel in a real-world business situation,” said Ed Peper, U.S. vice president, GM Fleet and Commercial. “We are confident the City Express will help French Creek Medical expand their offerings.”
“City Express to Success” is an example of a rapidly shifting media environment, and partnerships between brands and publishers are a sign of things to come, with consumers emerging as the real winners, Peper said.
“We give entrepreneurs and small businesses the resources they need to thrive in an increasingly competitive business environment,” said Ray Hennessey, editorial director of Entrepreneur.com. “It’s inspiring to partner with brands like Chevrolet, who share our commitment to serving this market and are willing to offer extraordinary opportunities.”
The contest responses showed that entrepreneurship is all about passion. Business owners told Chevrolet and Entrepreneur magazine what it takes to start from the ground up, what it means to dream big and, ultimately, how the two brands can help them gain long-term success.
