OREANDA-NEWS. Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of JSC "Russian Grids" Alexander Faustov held in Kursk a production meeting with chief engineers of branches of IDGC of Centre and their deputies on production control and safety. At the event they discussed issues to ensure reliable operation of power grid facilities of the company in 2015 in a difficult macroeconomic environment.

Opening the meeting, Alexander Faustov outlined the main tasks to be tackled by electric grid companies in 2015. First of all, we are talking about the need to optimize costs, including production, due to the limited availability of credit facilities and rising prices for electrical equipment from leading world manufacturers. As Chief Engineer of "Russian Grids" noted the priority for funding this year will be measures aimed at ensuring the reliable operation of the electric grid infrastructure. In addition, Alexander Faust stressed that the most serious attention should be given to the exclusion of injuries among employees, and also - keeping and training of production personnel engaged in the operation and repair of electrical equipment.

First Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre Alexander Pilyugin spoke further, who analyzed the results of operations of the company. He noted that IDGC of Centre successfully solves the priorities associated with increased reliability and service quality, operational efficiency, ensuring availability of power grid infrastructure and innovative development. Implementation in full and in a timely manner of repair, investment and other targeted programs of the company contributed to the achievement of its planned performance, improvement of the quality of power supply to consumers, as summarized by Alexander Pilyugin.

Speaking of the adjustments made in connection with the implementation of measures to optimize the investment program of IDGC of Centre in 2015, Chief Engineer of the company pointed out that while ensuring constant quality of operation of the equipment it should in no way affect the reliability of the electric grid complex.

Chief engineers of the branches of IDGC of Centre told more details about the implementation of production programs in the regions of its service area. They also took an active part in the consideration and discussion of issues of cooperation with local authorities and supervisory agencies.

Summing up the meeting, Chief Engineer of "Russian Grids" Alexander Faustov noted that IDGC of Centre seriously approached the solution of the problem to ensure reliable operation of the electric grid complex in terms of cost optimization. At the same time, he recalled that the maximum effect in this area can only be achieved in the case of a balanced approach to work in the mode of limited resources and capabilities. Until the end of April, "Russian Grids" plan to hold similar production meetings at all its subsidiaries and affiliates.
