OREANDA-NEWS. From January till February, 2015, the growth of all production indices at "Zaporizhstal" SW had been noted: iron - for 14.4%, steel - for 2.1%, rolled stock - for 1.4% as compared with the same period of 2014.

"The state of Ukrainian economy resulted in a considerable reduction of demand for metal products in the home market, and prices at the world market keep dropping. Simultaneously, a share of foreign currency component in purchasing raw materials for providing production is growing continuously because of shut down of many Ukrainian manufacturing enterprises due to the military situation. Maintenance of production level remains the only alternative for our Works to make the both ends meet, to pay put wages to the employees and  to maintain the social programmes", - the General Director of "Zaporizhstal" SW Rostyslav Shurma noted.

From January till February, 2015, 605.7 thousand tons of iron, 640.8 thousand tons of steel, 563.7 thousand tons of rolled stock had been produced.

In February, 2015, 279.0 thousand tons of iron, 294.8 thousand tons of steel, 264.8 thousand tons of rolled stock had been produces.
