Chrysler Brand Awards $25,000 in Bonus Funds to Five Schools
OREANDA-NEWS. The Chrysler brand is pleased to announce \$5,000 will be awarded to the top performers from five regions across the United States from their work with the 2014 Drive for the Kids® program. Drive for the Kids benefits elementary students across the nation by partnering FCA US dealerships with local schools to raise money through test drives in supplied Town & Country minivans. In 2014, the five benefitting schools collectively raised nearly \$20,000 in funding from Chrysler brand, not including the additional bonus funds.
The winning schools and their dealership partners are:
Throughout the year, as part of the Chrysler brand program, schools invited staff, family members and friends to attend their Drive for the Kids fundraiser, which is held on school grounds. Each school received \$10 donations from Chrysler brand for those who took test drives in one or more of the available Town & Country minivans provided by the partner FCA US dealerships. This January, the 2015 Chrysler Town & Country received the Detroit News “Readers’ Choice” award for ‘Best Family Hauler’ for the 10th year in a row. It also was recognized for the 14th consecutive year* by IHS Automotive for having the highest Model Loyalty in the Non-Luxury Mid-Size Van Segment.
The winning schools and their dealership partners are:
- Western Region: Arma J. Shull Elementary School, San Dimas, Calif., and Glendora Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram
- Central Region: Hallsville Intermediate School, Hallsville, Texas, and Patterson Chrysler Dodge Ram Jeep of Marshall
- Midwest Region: Mount Ayr Middle School, Mount Ayr, Iowa, and Glendenning Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram
- Northeast Region: Most Holy Rosary School, Syracuse, New York, and Lowery Bros. Chrysler Jeep
- Southeast Region: South Cumberland Elementary School, Crossville, Tenn., and East Tennessee Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram
