OREANDA-NEWS. Total gas sales volume by Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. for the month of January 2015 came to about 1,654.677 million m3, up 4.2% to that in January 2014.

In the residential sector, volume totaled 511.778 million m3, up 1.2% from January 2014, due to the increased number of customers compared to that in the same period last year.

In the business sector (consisting of commercial, public, and medical use), volume totaled 286.21 million m3, almost equal (up 0.3%) to that in the same period last year.

In the industrial sector, volume totaled 632.467 million m3, up 9.8% from January 2014, due to the increased demand for power generation.

Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled 224.221 million m3, up 1.8% from January 2014, due to the increased demand of the other companies.
